Cross-Training Program Description
The purpose of this soccer cross-training is to offer The Anchorage Hockey Association Mite & Pee Wee teams some dry-land training during their hockey season. This soccer cross-training was requested by the Director of Coaching from the AHA to enhance their skating techniques and agility. We will focus on footwork, balance, and coordination using a soccer ball. This training will be lead by Jo Reid and assisted by 2-3 other staff coaches from Anchorage Youth Soccer Club.
The Cross-training will be held for the Pee Wee teams on Wednesdays October 3rd - December 19th training at Mears Middle School from 6-7pm, there will be no training on Haloween. Training for the Mite teams will be on Thursdays Oct. 11th-Feb. 28th at Stellar from 6-7pm. Check the AHA website for a complete schedule. Players are to sign up for this AHA Cross-Training program below and pay online.
The cost will be $75 for the entire cross-training season. This will cover our court time, coaching fees, and administrative costs to facilitate this program for the Anchorage Hockey Association.
